Inov8 Web development will bring the Whitireia website into the 21st century.
Whitireia Community Polytechnic signed a web development contract yesterday with web design company Inov8 Limited, which will see the Whitireia website propelled into the future.
"Our aim is that the website will be consistent with who we are: a special organisation that is close to the community yet innovative and exciting," said Whitireia Chief Executive Don Campbell. "We are sure Inov8 Limited will be the right people to provide an easily navigated, contemporary, informative website."
The website work will begin immediately, with the first two stages completed before the end of 2009.
Tim Renner, Director of Marketing and Communications at Whitireia, said "We are going to be able to provide clear and transparent answers to complex student questions, which will meet our students' needs and be more efficient for staff."
This will be the first time Inov8 has worked with a tertiary institution and the website will be developed basically from scratch.
General Manager at Inov8, Sharon Woodley, said "It is very pivotal that we work in tandem to develop this website and provide the best tools for students and staff."
