Inov8 has recently been engaged by CRS Software Ltd to deliver a database synchronisation solution for its farm management software package. The solution provided data replication between 8,000 client installations using SQL Server Compact Edition to a single central SQL Server 2005 database. In order to offer this level of scalability, the architecture was designed to be fully SOA compliant and the database design and configuration has been optimised to handle large volumes of simultaneous transaction requests.
In addition, the project also consisted of delivering a fully functional e-Commerce site for the CRS farm management software. The e-Commerce solution integrates with Direct Payment Services (DPS) for the online payment module.
The project consisted of the design and development of three major components; The CMROnline administration web application, an agent application and a synchronisation agent.
